Canterbury House was built in 1800 and has been established as guest accommodation since the 1940's. The property sits in a lovely position close to the River Sid and the National Trust parkland 'The Byes'. An easy and level 5 minute walk takes you into the town and to the picturesque seafront where you can walk along the promenade. Canterbury House is also perfectly situated for exploring the delights of the nearby fishing villages and the wonderful east Devon countryside.
We have 8 comfortable and spacious en-suite bedrooms comprising double, twin and single accommodation. There is a double and twin at ground floor level. All rooms are well equipped and are designed for your comfort with colour tv, complimentary hot drinks tray, hairdryer and radio alarm clock. All en-suites have heated towel rails and shower points. We offer a varied and freshly cooked breakfast and can cater for special diets. A cosy residents lounge is available for your use where you can relax and watch TV, DVD's or read. Off street parking is also available.
